Common European Framework of Languages/Levels

CEFR stands for the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. It is an international standard for describing language ability. The language ability is presented on a six-point scale from A1 to C2. A1 represents a beginner while C2 represents a proficient user of a language that is very near a native speaker's fluency level. CEFR is an easy-to-use tool for students and teachers as well as employers and educational institutions that can easily compare different exams and qualifications.
