EXAM: B2 First (formerly known as FCE)

 

Obtaining B2 First marks a big step forward on the path to English proficiency. When you pass the exam, it means you

 

  • can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics

  • can hold technical discussions in his/her field of specialization

  • can interact with native speakers with a degree of fluency and spontaneity

  • can produce clear and detailed texts on a wide variety of subjects

Who is it for?

 

This exam is for people who need proof they have the language skills to be able to live and work in an English-speaking country or study on courses taught in English.

 

Advantages:

 

It is valid for life.

 

In some countries, B2 First could exempt students from taking official exams, such as the official English exams taken in the final year of secondary school or university.

 

It is accepted by many companies around the world as well as public institutions as proof of language proficiency
